Nano-Nurseries Network

Championing Scotland's small-scale tree growers

About nano-nurseries

Small-scale tree nurseries in Scotland play a vital role in maintaining the health and restoration of Scotland’s forests. These “nano-nurseries” produce relatively modest numbers of trees but often specialise in local or rare species. This helps strengthen biodiversity, climate resilience and support healthy, thriving landscapes.

Become a Network Member

The Network brings together small-scale growers representing their needs and raising the profile of the valuable products and services they provide. The network offers practical resources, shared learning and sector connections that can be difficult for smaller nurseries to access alone. Membership is open to Scottish nurseries producing up to 200,000 trees per year.
